New Amsterdam Theatre

I am trying to decide where to sit when i see the Lion King when I come to new york in february. Its the same price for Front Mezzanine seats and orchestra seats. which ones are the best? and do the seating slope up as you go further back in either section? I%26#39;m guessing yes in the mezzanine but no for the orchestra, am I right?

thanks!

New Amsterdam Theatre

Hi,

I would definently go for the orchestra seats! What seats are coming up for orchestra, compared to front row mezzaine? If it%26#39;s like the last rows of the orchestra then i would prefer front row mezzaine!

Sorry, confusing post on my part!

New Amsterdam Theatre

The New Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful theaters. But they%26#39;ve also got the smallest seats. If you%26#39;re tall, make sure you%26#39;re on the aisle (not the extreme side aisles though).

We sat in the 6th or 7th row, center of theater, orchestra. They were GREAT seats!

I am going to book through broadwaybox.com so you can%26#39;t choose your exact seats can you?

OK so broadwaybox.com doesnt have discount tickets for lion king. If they arent showing discounts for it now, will they sell any tickets at discount prices before february? or is it just a show that doesnt have cheap tickets? I dont really know how this all works.. and if i book through the regular broadway website, it doesnt show where tickets are available. is it best for me to call them rather than book online?

The Lion King is never discounted, so if you are intent on seeing it you will have to pay full price.

LOL.

I guess you did not see the box near the top

titled ';Tickets for sold-out shows';.

And The Lion King is one of the shows listed. ;-)
