Hello,
I was wondering if there are any reccomended resturants in NYC that are owned my cooking celebs, movie/tv celebs and sports celebs.
Thanks,
Celeb owned resturants
Two that come to mind are Tribeca Grill which is owned in part by Robert DeNiro and P.J. Clarks also owned in part by Timothy Hutton. I can recommend P.J. Clark%26#39;s burgers, but I%26#39;ve never been to Tribeca Grill. I think it is supposed to be pretty good though. Also, Mario Batali restaurants (Babbo, Lupa, and Esca) also usually get very good reviews but can be difficult to get in to.

For a steak you might try Michael Jordan%26#39;s Steakhouse in Grand Central Terminal.
For a romantic restaurant, March is owned by Wayne Nish who was a challenger (he lost) on the original Japanese Iron Chef tv show.
Lidia Bastianich (who has a cooking show on PBS) and her hsuband Joe are partnered in several NYC restaurants including Becco and Felidia.
In addition to Mario Batali as mentioned above (he also has an interest in Bistro du Vent and Casa Mono), Bobby Flay has Bar Americain, Bolo and Mesa Grill.
Tony Bourdain (Star of No Reservations on the Travel channel) is currently listed as Executive Chef of Les Halles...although I don%26#39;t think his involvement is very strong.
There%26#39;s the B.B. King gospel brunch.
Tribeca Grill is a solid choice. De Niro also is part owner of Nobu.
I have eaten at Michael Jordan%26#39;s a few times and it compares to his baseball career, not basketball.
Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are investors in Angus McIndoe, at 258 West 44th Street (between Broadway and 8th). It%26#39;s a place that offes mediocre pub/light fare, and in addition to Lane and Broderick who, the story goes, put money into the place so they could have a place to unwind right next door to the St. James Theatre where The Producers is playing, I%26#39;ve seen such TV people as Richard Kind, Caroline Rhea and Steven Weber.
The lawyer defending the NYC Transit Workers Union, Local 100 owns a bakery called Taylor%26#39;s.
I hope he%26#39;s a better lawyer than business man because Taylor%26#39;s has closed. Our loss. They were very good bakeries.
Oh! I knew the Taylor%26#39;s on Chambers St. closed, but I thought there was another one on the Upper West Side, or something...Too bad.
