Long Island Railroad to JFK

If the subways are not running because of a strike, can I use the LIRR from Penn STation to get to JFK?

Thanks

Long Island Railroad to JFK

The LIRR does not go to the airport.

From Penn station take the LIRR to Jamaica station and then transfer to the Airtrain. The LIRR does not go to the airport.

The LIRR will run if there%26#39;s a strike and NYPDRET is correct that you would take it to Jamaica station. I assume, but am not sure, whether the AirTrain would run in a strike situation. I%26#39;d guess yes it would.

at Newark Airport, the Airtrain is simply an unmanned monorail similar to what is at Disneyworld

anyway, the airports are under jurisdiction of Port Authority of NY/NJ not MTA
