after breakfast in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, we walked to buy a few things in Conway on 31st street. then we walked to Penn Station to take the subway to AMNH.
we spend two hours in the museum and everybody loved it. after that we walked to Central Park. it was very chilly, but still we enjoyed. it was a Sunday, so the park was well visited. people jogging, walking the dogs and playing on the grass. we were exausted so we rested on the green grass and took photos, we did a little gymnastic to strech the muscles. it became dark so we headed to the subway station on Lexington Av. Before that we bought some groceries. We took line 4 and stopped at Grand Central Station. It%26#39;s huge and very very nice, especialy the ceiling. wonderful experience. we are not accustomed to such hugeness. ofcourse we couldn%26#39;t miss the foodcourt. i ate chicken tikka at Spice Cafe, I guess that%26#39;s the name. delicious!not to forget the cheescake at Junior%26#39;s! we bought one of each flavor. delicious delicious!(till the last night in NY I was still nibbling my cheescake.) our feet was hurting so we took a taxi to the hotel to rest.

around noon, we took subway A to High St, Brooklyn. yes, to Brooklyn bridge. the weather was clear and beautiful. we took a lot of photos. i was walking with icy hot%26#39;s patches on both my right knee and my lower back. wow, i was in pain. but I was not yet to surrender. I kept walking. we walked then to china town. everybody was hungry and no restaurants were in the view. we were approached to buy %26#39;designer bags%26#39;, I wanted to just see how it goes, but I was too hungry and too much in pain. after asking around, and walking up and down the street, we finaly found a buffet restaurant. it was planned to walk around little italy after eating. but, toooo much pain in my back. so we took the sub and went to the hotel. after resting the whole afternoon, we walked to times square in the evening. we sat in mcdonalds drinking coffee and talking about the amazing and beautifull things we saw prior days. my family were very thankful for my guidance so far. (they should be, after much research and planning I did)afterwards we admire a street-artist(is it so called?)using a spray can making a beautiful brooklyn bridge painting. then we kept wandering around contemplating the big lighted bill boards and walked afterwards to the hotel.

free-day: everybody could choose to go wherever he pleased. so me and My family,(hubbi, children) accompanied by one of my sisters with Her family, went around noon to Intrepid Museum. we just admired it from the outside, sitting along the sidewalk. my husband went upstairs to take a few pictures. after waiting and waiting we were wondering where he was. i looked above, and there he was. on the boat! so, he was the only one who went on the boat. I took the children to the restrooms and spent afterwards some time in the giftshop.
we took the sub to rockefeller center. we ate spaghetti and drank coffee (my 4yr old boy, loves coffee) at the Metro restaurant. the streets were very crowded.we walked to the ice ring where my brother-in-law went skating. we took photos. I bought a pen and a bag in the MET giftshop.then it started raining. when the rain stopped, we walked along 5th ave. we saw the huge st.patricks cathedral (correct?). unaware of the time, we headed to the subway. well, everybody was pushing to get in the subway. then we realized that it was rush hour time(18.00h). however, we didn%26#39;t have to wait very long to hup in the subway to Penn Station. we walked around Madison Sq Garden and then walked to Manhattan Mall. I could finaly do some shopping. I bought few things in Aeropostale and Footlocker. My hubbie was glad we came in winter season. So I couldn%26#39;t buy that much stuff to wear. The mall was closing so we took the subway to Times Sq. we sat in front of the station and ate hotdogs, enjoying the evening ambience. we savored the atmosphere, the last night in NYC. such grand city. ofcourse we took some more photos, waving goodbye to NY. sad enough we went to the hotel to pack our suitcases.

my mother requested transportation to the airport and the hotel arrange two limousines. very cool. the kids loved it and we enjoyed the ride. at 9.00 we were heading to LGA airport. sadness reigned but everybody was sure this was not their last visit to this uncomparable city. however, they were glad because the trip was not over yet. we were flying to Orlando. so that calmed things a bit.
all by all, the first-timers loved it, and the others loved it more. my mother-in-law was amazed, 67yrs old and her first visit to NY. this trip was our gift to her. we came back to Cura莽ao the 27th, after spending a few days in Orlando and a week in Miami.
this was my most unforgettable vacation ever!

I%26#39;m glad it all worked out, too. How does your back feel now? I know you%26#39;re not accustomed to walking as much as you probably did here in NY.
Sorry to hear abotut your pain! However, it sounds like the suffering was worth it in the end. Glad you and the whole gang had such a good time.
When you wrote ';sadness reigned'; on your last day, I felt a lump in my throat! Very dramatic but appropriate.
Congratulations on a wonderful trip and experience.
Thank you girls, love y%26#39;all!
Hugs, kisses and our thanks and good wishes to everyone.
May your holidays and New Year be filled with health and happiness.
Abby and family
