Just wondering if anyone has used this service to help plan an itinerary? Is it worth the $25 to get specific directions and organize all the things you want to do? I thought it might be more convenient than purchasing guidebooks and maps if the service is good.

When I travel overseas, I go to the library and pick up two or three guide books. And pick out the things I want to see and do. For NYC, one good map is all you need. I would use a full-size subway map and mark in the tourist sites on it.
Some people are more obsessive about planning their trip down to the very minute/detail as some of the posts on this board indicate.
It really depends on what you want.
