Coming to New York in July for the 1st time. Will have 2 children (11 %26amp; 8) both girls. Have Lion King tickets. Any other suggestions?

Toys R US, American Girl Store, Candy stores, dining, tours, other shows????????

Hi I would definitely do a tour to orientate yourselves with New York. Help get your bearings and also give you a little history on this great city. I took the New York Party shuttle tour (mind you there is no party!), you can book through www.newyorkpartyshuttle.com highly recommended, not too long either, so the kids won%26#39;t get bored. I would also suggest visiting eopinions.com, which offers many reviews on New York city.

The Hop on/Hop Off tours are great fun, but for 4 people would be very expensive. Do a search on this forum about travelling with kids, you will get lots of great information.

In July there are lots of outdoor activities in the city, plus Central Park is an absolute must. There is The American Museum of Natural History, The Met, The Intrepid, a visit to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Empire State Building and/or Top of the , a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, using the subways, The Bronx Zoo, Coney Island, the list really is endless.
