How will I get a Rental Car at JFK. Can I use Airtrain or Bus to get to Rental Car Companies? Is it true, Alamo (my favourite) is NOT available at JFK? Anybody who knows more about it? Which Rental Car Company allows to enter Canada with their cars?
Rental Car at JFK Airport / where to pick-up? Rental Car...
With a major credit card and a reservation helps. There will be buses from the rental car companies making stops outside your terminal. I just looked on Alamo%26#39;s website and did not see a location at JFK. There should be no restrictions on driving to Canada (as there are for driving into Mexico).

www.alamo.com and see if they have a location near JFK
at most airports I%26#39;ve flown into, there are shuttles buses that come and pick you up at the terminals and take you to their lots
as I recall, the restriction was with driving into Mexico but always check with the rental car company
Wait a minute. You should rent the car when you%26#39;re ready to LEAVE NYC. Don%26#39;t rent it on arrival at JFK. Why pay for parking when you don%26#39;t need the car in Manhattan? Get the AirTrain into the city from JFK or here are all the other options

Then either pick up rental IN Manhattan (there are 6 Alamo locations in Manhattan) or go to La Guardia or Newark airport if the rental is a lot cheaper.
Here%26#39;s info on driving from USA to Canada. Make sure it%26#39;s up to date. Some rental cos. don%26#39;t want you to go to Canada but most will allow it. There may be additional innsurance.

Want to pick-up up my car right after arrival at JFK and would like to start towards Niagara Falls a.s.a.p. (arrival at JFK will be 4pm). Don麓t want to waste my time (and spend 10$ for 2 persons on the AIRTRAIN) with going to Manhattan first.
Further I want to keep my car when back in Manhattan. Never had a car in Manhattan on my previous nine visits. Seems to be strange for you, but this time I want to explore Manhattan, Brooklyn and Eastern NJ by car. WOuld like to drive the Verrazano Br, Brooklyn Br and cross Times Sq at night. Not very amazing for someone from NY, but for me ;-)
By the way, JETBLUE-return fare from JFK to Buffalo is more than 300 USD for 2 adults, so not very competitive to driving by car.
I%26#39;m guessing parking will run you about $50 a day for the rental car
and don%26#39;t forget to have dollar bills handy for the tolls for the bridges and tunnels
if you insist on doing this, no one is going to stop you, but it is something I would not recommend
NYC is very much a public transportation city
you would basically have to drive non-stop from place to place; if you want to stop anywhere, the minimum cost for 1 hour of parking is $10;
on-street parking is hard to find
why not take a city bus and get the same view without the hassle of having a car? or take a night time guided tour bus
