My sister and I will be coming to New York as first time tourists. Which airport should we fly in to? Is this a big concern or should I just take the cheapest flight? Thank you for any help. Gerrie
Does it matter which airport we fly in and out of? First...
Go where you get the best price %26amp; the best times. It is closer to fly in and out of LaGuardia, however, and a little less money to get into the city via taxi, for instance, but that would not be my main concern, but each to their own.

Go with LaGuardia unless the price is so much better for JFK. Avoid Newark unless the price is astoundingly less than either LAG or JFK.
Newark is equally as far as JFK from Manhattan.
It has the Airtrain just like JFK.
It has the airport shuttle buses just like JFK.
And if you want to spend only $3.50 to get to Manhattan there is always the NJ Transit bus + PATH combination.
No reason to avoid it.
And if you are referring to delays, LaGuardia is just as prone to that as Newark EWR.
Hi
I don%26#39;t see that the airport should matter. Go for the cheapest airline tickets...you will always manage to get into NYC one way or the other :-)
