Hi everyone,
I will be in NYC in mid-January, and after reading another posthave I have just realised that I don%26#39;t think my current shoes will be appropriate for New York in the event of snow. Will it still be possible to buy comfortable walking boots in mid-January (after 8th), or will most have already been sold? Where would be the best place to buy them? What would be the best kind/style of boots to get? Unfortunately I%26#39;m completely clueless because I haven%26#39;t had much experience with snow!
Also, slightly off-topic - will I still be able to buy warm clothes if mine aren%26#39;t sufficient, or will most winter clothes have been sold in the sales by then?
Thanks for any help!
Winter boots - easy to buy in January?You will still be able to purchase winter items in January, sales abound, although the choice may be a bit more limited than now, for instance.
A good place for boots, if needed, is DSW, a virtual football field of shoes. A good brand to buy is Totes, waterproof %26amp; warm, not expensive, and will do the trick. Ankle high should suffice.
It is easy to buy sweaters, scarves, hats %26amp; gloves all over the city at inexpensive prices.
Winter boots - easy to buy in January?NYCgirl%26#39;s got it exactly right.
Only decision you%26#39;ll have to make is ';where and how much';
%26#39;tho boot stock will be somewhat depleted, but you can STILL get almost anything you want.
Warm clothes are best layered. And you%26#39;ll NEVER have a problem with that. Except for ';technical'; outdoor gear, you can solve your problem perfectly at Macy%26#39;s in Herald Square (34th %26amp; 6th) or at Century 21 downtown on Cortlandt Street close to ';ground zero.';
Another adventure.
Enjoy the buzz.
