With the strike how to I get to my hotel?

I am coming to NYC tomorrow....how will I get to my hotel, Crowe Plaza United Nations, from Laguardia tomorrow evening? Also, will the all loops bus tour be on if the strike is on?

You%26#39;ll have to share a cab with others, so head for the taxi dispatch stand outside the doors by baggage claim. The taxis can%26#39;t charge more than $20 per person for a group ride; I suspect there are dispatchers or handouts that will make the rules clear. There may be shuttle buses too. Find info at:

www.nyc.gov/html/transitinfo/html/home.shtml

You can try the DOT (Dept of Transportation) website too.

Bring comfortable shoes and very warm clothes!

You can also take the airport bus that goes to Grand Central Terminal in midtown, which is about a 5 blocks%26#39; walk from your hotel. The bus costs $12-$15. There is more info on transport options at www.laguardiaairport.com

Both of you guys are great....thanks for taking the time to respond to me. I did take the advice and booked a shuttle through travelocity. I wasn%26#39;t aware of the bus. I will try that on the way back since it is very near to my hotel. I appreciate your help. I hope you guys have a great weekend and arent put out too much b/c of this strike!

If you take the bus back - it runs about every 20 minutes. You buy the ticket at the window which is on Park between 42nd and 41st. Then go outside and stand by the LaGuardia sign. You can%26#39;t buy the ticket on the bus. Also, the LGA trip is $12 cash only.

The loops tour buses are not on strike, this will be a great way to see the city now, hop on %26amp; off!!!!

ALso, the PATH train runs from 33rd Street to the World Trade Center with various stops in between, another option for us all.

The Staten Island Ferry is also running, as are various water taxis put into service do to the strike.
