New Years Eve / Any suggestions?

The countdown has begun we arrive Dec. 27. We are bringing our 2-17 year old foster daughters. We want this trip to be really special. They are so excited. We wanted to take them to see the ball drop but that sounds impossible (I%26#39;m disappointed about that). I%26#39;m thinking we will go to St Johns the Divine to hear the choir but then what? I don%26#39;t think they would care about fireworks. Any suggestions New Yorkers?

New Years Eve / Any suggestions?

Has anyone been to St John the Divine for New Years eve? How was it? Do you think our 17 year foster daughters would enjoy something like? Thanks for your help.

Why not see what the Olive Garden is offering? Seems lots of people went for New Years dinner last year, it is right in Times Square so easy access and ability to see the ball drop. Everyone who went enjoyed it, according to various trip reports.

I have never been to the Cathedral on New Years but I can tell you that it is one beautiful church, worth a visit alone. It just might be worth attending.

Another option may be the Big Apple Circus, it is really great for all ages, in Lincoln Center. They have a 9:30 PM performance on New Years Eve:

Some Broadway shows have performances on New Years Eve. Go to www.playbill.com, scroll down a bit and on the left hand side to go Insider INfo and click onto New Years Week schedule.

I understand you have to be 21 to get into the olive garden on new years eve

I called the Olive Garden yesterday. The price is too much for us ($200/person).

But, I guess the girls would be too young anyway. Would love to hear if anyone else has any good ideas for a family with teens.

Sorry overlooked your e-mail address.

Talked to my husband and we are interested in the tickets. But, how would we get the tickets and get the money to you?
