Whice motels to choose?

Hi,

I will be next summer in N.Y.

I want to know whice motels to stay in.

The motels are Comfort Inn Manhattan or La Quinta Manhattan.

I am looking for clean%26#39;s one.

I can%26#39;t stay in one of the Hotels, to expanssive for me.

Thanx, Israeli.

Both of those are ok, but you may be able to do better than both. What are your dates and your budget? The Comfort Inn Midtown is a better location than your picks. Is it affordable for you? The Grand Union and the Travel Inn are also good budget options as is the Belvedere.

Another idea is staying in a hotel that%26#39;s like an apartment so you have your own kitchenette. Look at the Beacon or the Milburne hotels on the upper westside. It%26#39;s a nice residential area but easy to get to midtown.

I like quikbook.com for prices.

A motel is a travel accommodation designed primarily for people travelling by car, with on-site parking, and rooms accessible directly from the outside rather than from an indoor corridor or from the lobby by the reception desk.

There are no true motels of this kind anywhere in Manhattan -- both the Comfort Inn and the La Quinta are indeed regular hotels, not motels.

If you don%26#39;t mind sharing a bathroom, here are some good, low-cost options:

The Chealsea Lodge

The Newton (Upper West Side)

The Belleclaire (also UWS)

East Village Bed and Coffe (funky and in a hip part of town--gets great reviews)

For the Newton and Belleclaire you will have to specifically ask for a shared bathroom accomodation.
