Packing advice please

Hi guys

We%26#39;re in New York over New Year and I appreciate its going to be cold. I am a proper wimp. So I%26#39;m thinking lots of layers, including a thermal one, scarf, hat, golves, knee length leather boots and big coat. How does that sound? Is it likely to be wet and cold or just cold?

Possibility of wet but usually just cold. Sometimes, as Mr. Cell. says, it%26#39;s unseasonably warm. Remember indoors it%26#39;s always warm. Thermals can get too warm if you%26#39;re shopping or going to a museum.
