Met my friend and her 10 year old son in from Queens. We decided to visit Top of the Rock, it was lovely. It was about 5PM, but I want to go again in the daytime, as you really cannot appreciate the Central Park View. I will say, however, that it is not better nor worse than the ESB , both are worthwhile with fabulous city views, but the experience here is much nicer, in general, due to the polite staff and immaculate surroundings. I was shocked when my friend purchased a 27 shot disposable camera for $5.00!!!! What a bargain!
The tree is gorgeous, by the way.
Her son wanted to eat at Fridays (ugh) and when we sat down and I saw the prices, we left immediately-$18.99 for a cheeseburger! Get the f..k out of here, are you kidding me? We walked out, I have no problem with that.
So, on to Ellens. I have to say it was fun, great for kids, the food is reasonably priced for the area and it was good, they even have some healthy options, so I was pleasantly surprised. Albeit noisy %26amp; crowded, for what it is, great for kids.
That%26#39;s it, just wanted to share, Happy Holidays to all.

I would advise going to see both daytime %26amp; nightime views, around 4ish
NYCGirl - Happy holidays to you also. Loved your TGI Friday%26#39;s expletive deleted!
I took my grand daughter and her parents into Friday%26#39;s after a visit to Amnerican Girl and did the exact same thing, then got in a subway and went downtown where I belong!
Thanks NYCgirl..will follow your advice. Any chance of you joining us for a drink next week?
Daisigee:
Would love to,let me know the plans, and if I can, I will.
We wandered into Ellen%26#39;s after seeing the Rockettes Xmas extravaganza late Nov and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the price and quality of the food. I have this in-built distrust of anything %26#39;themed%26#39; too near a major tourist attraction! I%26#39;d wanted to go to Ruth%26#39;s Chris but was voted out!
All that singing seemed a bit much at first but once the restaurant filled-up, and we got into the swing of it, it was quite fun - especially when the singing waitress sat on the hubby%26#39;s lap, I didn%26#39;t know he could blush.
Daisgee - enjoy your trip. Is this the second time this year for you?
