breakfasts

Hi

I%26#39;ve read a lot of the postings and was interested in Skylight and Cheyenne diners. I%26#39;ll be staying at Avalon, E32ns, would like somewhere near hotel,so can go out,back to hotel, then out for moring; trad NYC diner, nothing fancy, the sort of place you used to see cops coming in for breakfast, are the above 2 like this, eggs, bacon toast etc, nothing too healthy or expensive! And could someone give me address of Cheyenne Diner

Both fit the bill of what you describe. Frequent poster Waterford stayed in that general area last November and posted this in her trip report

';Most of the time we ate in a deli down from Macys. It is called Speedys (A deli). It is on the corner of Broadway and 32nd St. Great breakfasts bagels, eggs pancakes(not too be miss). Great lunches salads, meats, rice pastas etc and great sandwiches. Perfect for busy days shopping and you dont want to be going to McDonalds etc.';

We went to Moonstruck diner on the corner of 31st and 3rd for breakfast every day when we stayed recently, for around $15 per day for both us (inc tip) we had a feast. Enough to set us up all day so we didn%26#39;t eat until dinner. Eggs, homefries, toast, coffee, juice, pleasant place to start the day, good service, lots more on the menu, pancakes etc.
