Hiya,
Just booked at trip to New York with my husbend and our mothers :-)
We are going to stay at Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge.
We stayed there a year ago, and liked the hotel, but we thought the breakfast was well expensive. Thought we%26#39;d try som other places for breakfast this time.
We are from Sweden, so a real american place would be cool for our mothers.
So please help me with some great places :-)
Where to go for the best breakfast? :-)
If you%26#39;re willing to venture into Manhattan for breakfast, go directly to Kitchentte!! It will take you about 15 minutes by subway. Take the 2 or 3 train from Borough Hall/Downtown Brooklyn to Chambers Street. Walk about 2 block south on West Broadway (NOT plain Broadway. Different street.) You will not be disappointed!

You could also try walking to Brooklyn Heights or Downtown Brooklyn for some options. I%26#39;ve never really eaten breakfast there, but there are some diners and other options on Montague Street or Court Street.
There%26#39;s always Junior%26#39;s on Flatbush Avenue, and I%26#39;m sure they have killer breakfasts.
Or, you can take the 4 or 5 train further into Brooklyn, you can try Tom%26#39;s Diner. It is near the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Folks say it has some of the best pancakes ';in the world';!
Here are some previous posts about good American breakfasts in Manhattan. There is also a description of Tom%26#39;s Diner in the first post:

There%26#39;s a Bubby%26#39;s right at the Brooklyn Bridge!
bubbys.com
Duh! Bubby%26#39;s is great! Nice reco, thanks for reminding me.
If you want to venture into DUMBO area, go to Superfine. It has a nice brunch (May be crowded) It is a little uncoventional, and has creative versions of traditional American food. it is located in a converted warehouse, has a pool table and sometimes has a jazz trio for Sunday Brunch
126 Front St (btwn Jay %26amp; Pearl)
718-243-9005
They do not have a website.

Hi
I%26#39;m gonna chime in with Bubby%26#39;s too...great breakfast, fun space %26amp; much easier to get into than Superfine (which has been really uneven the last few times I%26#39;ve been in terms of food/service). Psst, Jacques Torres chocolates just around the corner for some dessert. The waterfront park right in front of Bubby%26#39;s has great views of Manhattan %26amp; the bridges.
Hi everyone, and thanx for all suggestions!
Bubby%26#39;s looks perfect, but when I look at their homepage, it doesn%26#39;t seem that they serve breakfast (?!):
Hours of Operation:
Lunch: Monday 鈥?Friday 11am-3pm
Brunch: Saturday %26amp; Sunday 10am-4pm
Dinner: Monday 鈥?Thursday 5.30-10pm, Friday %26amp; Saturday 5.30-11pm, Sunday, 5.30-9pm
Is this right?
Br,
Hanna
Hi
The weekend (Sat/Sun) brunch menu is a breakfast menu...maybe they don%26#39;t serve breakfast during weekdays (M-F)?, but I do recommend the weekend brunch, it%26#39;s very good. If you%26#39;re looking for a great bakery, Almondine, @ 85 Water St. (owned by Jacques Torres %26amp; a partner, I think) has delicious offerings ...it%26#39;s just down the street from the Brooklyn Bubby%26#39;s. Happy Holidays (%26amp; Happy Lucia!)
