Anyone know of a good Deli sandwich bar around 5th Av Shopping?
Lunch/Deli around 5th Av Shopping
Go one block east to Madison Ave. or west to 6th Ave. for delis, pizza, etc.
Lunch/Deli around 5th Av Shopping
There are three Burger Heavens nearby. Great burgers, sandwiches, fresh salads, etc. Two are between 5th-Madison Avenues -- one on 49th St. and one on 53rd St. Another is on Madison around 51st St.
Martin, Fifth ave. is a long street. The main shopping district goes from 34 st - 59th st. There are no ';famous'; NY delis right nearby. Bettina %26amp; I like Burger Heaven, just a local chain of not fancy diner/coffee shops in the 40s-50s around Fifth/Madison.

The Burger Joint inside Le Parker Meridien hotel (57 st west of Fifth Ave.) would be near the top of Fifth Ave. (near Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany%26#39;s, Trump Tower)
There%26#39;s a good place inside Trump Tower at 56-57 st downstairs.
On 42 st just east of Fifth Ave. (b/w Fifth %26amp; Madison) there%26#39;s a huge help yourself place for sandwiches/pizza/salads etc. Just quick %26amp; convenient.
Don%26#39;t forget the food court inside Grand Central (42 %26amp; Lexington) for Junior%26#39;s, Two Boots etc.
Thanks NYwhiz and Bettina for tht info - Burger Heaven will be perfect. By the way - do you know any bacon and egg breakfast type diners around E46-48th Streets?
I don%26#39;t know any specific ones, but there are plenty of places along Third Ave., and some on Lexington (I remember passing a diner of sorts on Lex at about 52nd). You might also find some on the side streets in the 40s.
Thanks again Bettina. I posted my itinerary earlier today and one of the replies I got was that I had mixed up my midtown and downtown sights - could you possibly help to put them in some sort of order?
Have you tried using Menupages? You can search for deli, diners, etc and by cuisine:

If you%26#39;re neat the Diamond District on 47th Street try Berger%26#39;s Deli right next door to 50 W. 47th.
This is a no nonsense deli with all the usuals, quick service, generous portions and competitive pricing.
Plus it gives you the pleasure of window shopping in the District, a sight not to be missed on anyone%26#39;s trip to NYC.
I meant to say NEAR the DD. sorry.
