We%26#39;re taking our 3 kids (ages 20, 18, and 9) to NYC for March 17-19. None of them has really spent much time there (we%26#39;ve driven by a lot because we live in Boston and have family in Maryland), but because of all their schedules, we only have a weekend for this trip. So not much time. I%26#39;m interested in recommendations of activities that we can all enjoy that will make them want to come back for more. Also interested in cheap and/or adventurous eats. So far, I%26#39;m interested in the Tenement Museum, Ellis Island, and maybe a show. We%26#39;re staying in the Embassy Suites down by Battery Park.
Weekend with the kids in March
What you%26#39;ve selected already sounds great. If you can manage it, I%26#39;d suggest 1 Broadway show and 1 off Broadway show like Stomp or Drumstruck. Discounts are available on broadwaybox.com or try the TKTS booth across from the South STreet Seaport (another good stop downtown. I would add a walk across the Brooklyn bridge and some time in Greenwich Village. The teens will love it.
